12th of August we took it slow after a good breakfast at the hotel. I found a place to work in a climatized conference room to update my Blog. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant and I continued my website while Robert took a siesta. Later in the afternoon we joined again the Cramer family at Hannekes’s house.
After a short jump into the pool I got my little office at the nice dining table inside again organized. But this time compared to yesterday I needed have paper towels under my arms, because I would have left stains from my sweat as the humidity of the hot air had risen so much. Even a glass with a cool drink made the condensation run down on the nice wood veneer.
I had the most beautiful working place an architect can imagine. Robert had asked Jurriaan if his idea to drive us past the “Landes” to escape from the heat was meant seriously. He said he is always serious, and off they were trying to find out if the bikes would fit on their bike-rack.
The two Hannekes were reading on a Boogie-board sitting in the pool.
During tea-time Jurriaan had a look at my website and discovered that the calendar didn’t work. So he joined me at my provisional office table. He is a professional programmer and wanted to find out how he could help me. His way of patience to work on a solution was impressive. He had about 20 windows opened in parallel to check everything in his kind of detective research. At the end he installed me an archive which shows all the posts in a chronological order.
The two Hannekes had already prepared dinner outside and I had to close my beautiful office. We made up plans for tomorrow while we enjoyed a wonderful salad in an air which was like a hot dough not moving at all. We took out some fans and tried to move the hot doough while suddenly some lightning and thunder showed us how charged the air was with energy and humidity.
Back at the hotel we got everything organized for an early start next morning.
